About Us – 4 Generations of Florida Plant & Tree Care Experience

I’m Lance Pemble, a 4th-generation grower from Central Florida. My family has been part of the Florida greens-growing industry since the early 1920s, producing premium foliage used by florists and decorators across the country. My dad is a 3rd-generation fern grower, and as he prepares to sell the family business, I’m proud to carry that legacy forward as the 4th generation.

For nearly a century, our family has worked with Florida’s foliage, trees, and natural landscapes. I’m Lance Pemble, a 4th-generation grower from Central Florida, continuing a horticultural lineage that began in the early 1920s. Our family business, Evergreen Ferneries, has supplied fresh greens to florists and decorators nationwide for decades — and that deep experience with plant health is the foundation behind MossRemoval.com.

My wife, Dakota Pemble, and I also operate The Garland Guy, where we handcraft natural garlands and wreaths using premium foliage grown by Florida growers — including my own family. Throughout this work, we’ve learned firsthand how Spanish moss affects tree health, sunlight penetration, airflow, and long-term canopy strength.

Spanish moss treatment is not new to our family — in the 1950s, my grandfather even funded my grandmother’s engagement ring by spraying moss across towns like Hawthorne, Williston, Keystone Heights, Starke, and Waldo, Florida.
